Why This Pilot Is Different

This isn't the usual ad agency deal.

No names, just the differences that actually change your risk.

A note on ad spend: these proposed numbers are based on generic, peak-volume seasons. Depending on your service, territory and seasonality, your ad spend may significantly lower, even into the hundreds. When budgeting, be prepared for flexible ad spend month to month.
Most Agencies
This Pilot

Report clicks and leads, then go quiet on whether any of it turned into revenue.
Full-funnel tracking. Every lead is tracked from ad click through to booked job.
Lock you into a long contract with no easy way out.
6-month minimum, then 30-day exit. A 6-month minimum gives the campaign enough runway to actually produce data — after that, either of us can end active management with 30 days' notice.

How It Works

Four steps. Nothing hidden.

From click to booked — here's the whole process.

1
Campaign Goes Live
We build and launch a Google Search campaign targeting people searching for a photographer in your territory.
2
Dedicated Landing Page
Every click lands on a tracked page built for this campaign — no guesswork on where a lead came from.
3
Every Lead Gets Tracked
Leads log into a shared sheet. A "How did you hear about us?" field on your other contact forms catches anyone who saw the ad but reached out another way.
4
You Pay When You Book
Mark it "booked" with the job value and attach the signed contract. Your CRM also pings me directly the moment a project moves to booked, so it's a cross-check, not just a report. We invoice 10% of that job.

Your Ad Budget

What it takes to get real data.

Google Search costs differently than Meta — you're buying intent, not attention. Here's what a real test requires by territory.

$300-$500/mo
Concentrated Metro
A single city, ~50-mile radius. Enough click volume to clear Google's learning phase and generate roughly 15–25 leads per month.
~$750 / mo
Broad / Statewide
Multiple competitive metro areas within one territory. Needs more budget to get the same lead density per area.
Why ad spend matters: the right strategy and setup with the wrong budget means lousy results. Ad spend is what powers the search engine to show your ad to the right person, at the right time. Targeting, audiences and offer are all guardrails, the budget is the power.
Recommended ad spend based on generic peak search volume. Depending on your services and seasonal volume, ad spend can vary.

Questions

What photographers ask before saying yes.

No catch — this is a limited pilot. The Photographer's Lead Lab is testing Google Search as a new channel to select clientele and wants real case studies before offering it more broadly. Removing our management fee removes your risk, which makes this an easy yes for a small number of photographers. It won't stay this way once the model is proven. All you pay for is the discounted, pilot-only setup fee of $700 (a $2,000+ value and well beneath the revenue earned from one booking) and the 10% commission on anything booked through the campaign.
Fair payment and accurate campaign performance is systematically tracked. Every pilot lead is tracked from the moment it hits your dedicated landing page (or self-reports via the "how did you hear" field on your other forms). You log status in a shared sheet, and when something books, you attach the signed contract or deposit invoice as proof. I also connect a direct notification from your CRM or booking system, so I get pinged automatically the moment a project moves to "booked" — it's not just a self-report, there's a cross-check on both ends. That's what gets invoiced — nothing is charged on a guess.
Yes — a generous one. Any lead that touches this campaign while I'm actively managing it (lands on the tracked page, or self-reports via the "how did you hear" field) counts toward commission for 12 months from that first touch, even if the booking itself happens later within that window. That's long enough to cover a typical photography sales cycle and the "dark funnel" of people who see the ad but convert another way — without leaving either of us with an open-ended tail neither of us can ever fully close out. If you take over managing the campaign yourself later on, leads already in the funnel at that point keep their full 12-month clock — new leads generated after that are yours, free and clear.
This is a pilot, not a full rollout — we want to prove the model with a small, hands-on group before scaling it. That means limited spots, and we're reaching out directly rather than opening it publicly.
This Google campaign can run alongside your existing Meta campaign, or instead of it. Your current Meta management can continue as-is; Google Search is simply a new, separate test layered on top under its own performance-only terms.
The pilot runs on a 6-month minimum so the campaign has enough runway to actually produce data — Google's own learning phase alone takes 4-6 weeks. After that, either of us can end active campaign management with 30 days' written notice, at any time. Any leads already in the tracked funnel before that point still count toward commission for up to 12 months from when they first touched the campaign. If the pilot performs well, we'll talk about what a longer-term management arrangement looks like.
Your ad spend is billed directly to your own ad account, so you're always free to pause it yourself at any time — you're never locked into continued spend. The 6-month minimum applies to my active management, so I'm not disappearing after two slow weeks; Search campaigns need real runway to clear the learning phase. We'll check in at the 3-month and 6-month mark, look at real numbers together, and decide whether to continue, adjust, or wrap up.
Lead generation ad campaigns are never a "set it and forget it" strategy. It takes real data to make informed decisions on optimizations and performance, and that data takes time to generate. With the search engine and your account manager working hard to optimize, time and ad spend are necessary components to see how the changes play out and to give the campaign a real chance to learn. Pausing an ad campaign after 2 weeks, even two months doesn't allow for enough time to move through all optimization possibilities; resulting in potentially wasted spend. That being said, results and leads do tend to generate within the first couple of weeks.
